Raw silk at 22/20 momme is a different material from the silk most people know. Heavier, more substantial, with a matte finish and a natural slub in the weave that makes every piece slightly its own. It doesn't shine. It doesn't cling. It drapes the way good fabric should — with weight and intention.

This blouse is cut in a relaxed utility shape: a pajama-style notch collar, three patch pockets, wide sleeves, and a straight hem that sits at the hip. Mother-of-pearl buttons close the front. The fit is genuinely oversized — wear it with wide-leg trousers, open over a slip dress, or belted at the waist if you want more shape. It works in all three.

About this fabric

This silk is woven locally in Romania at 22/20 momme — heavier than standard silk, with a matte surface and a subtle slub texture that comes from the natural variation in the raw fiber. It has not been chemically treated or artificially smoothed. What you see is what silk looks like before the fashion industry processes it into something else.

We source exclusively from the surplus of Italian fashion houses and work with local Romanian weavers for our raw silk collection. Each piece is handmade in Romania by skilled local artisans. • Care: Dry clean recommended. Hand wash in cold water with care is possible — note that raw silk shrinks approximately 8–10% when wet. Size up if you plan to hand wash.
