The work is done by the fabric itself: 100% raw silk in its natural, undyed, unbleached state, with the matte finish and subtle texture that processed silk loses in refinement. It looks considered without trying. It reads as polished without being formal.

Raw silk at 20/22 momme is medium-weight — substantial enough to drape cleanly, light enough to wear through a warm day without overheating. Because it hasn't been chemically treated, the fabric breathes the way natural fibers are supposed to. The slight irregularity in the weave — uneven yarns, a softly coarse hand — is not a flaw. It's what makes it real.

Wear it to the office with tailored trousers. Wear it on a Saturday with linen shorts. Tuck it into a midi skirt for dinner. It doesn't need much from you, and it will last for years.

About raw silk

Raw silk is silk that has not been degummed, dyed, or chemically finished. It retains the natural sericin protein that gives it a slightly textured, matte surface — different in character from the polished silks you see in most mainstream fashion. It is more durable, more breathable, and more honest. The off-white tone is the silk's own color: no bleach, no dye, nothing added.
