About Fine Thee – Timeless Women’s Clothing Made from Natural Fabrics
At Fine Thee, we create timeless women’s clothing from natural fabrics — clothing that feels personal, ages beautifully, and works effortlessly in a conscious wardrobe. We are an independent European fashion brand based in Bucharest, Romania, offering sustainable, small-batch designs for women who value quality, comfort, and versatility.
How it started
Fine Thee began in 2018 with a vintage clothing shop on Etsy. We focused on sourcing silk blouses and cashmere sweaters — classic pieces made from beautiful, natural materials. But we often found ourselves missing the perfect trousers to complete the outfit. So we started making our own. First pants, then skirts, blouses, and more.
As we discovered more exquisite deadstock fabrics — surplus materials from luxury fashion houses — our creative direction became clear. Our women’s clothing line grew from a desire to give these rare textiles a second life through thoughtful, well-made designs that last.
We still run our Etsy shop, where you’ll also find a curated selection of vintage women’s clothing made exclusively from natural fabrics — just like our handmade line.
What guides us
We don’t follow fast fashion trends — we follow the fabric. At Fine Thee, everything begins with the material. Sometimes a particular texture, drape, or color stays with us for weeks before we know what it’s meant to become.
Each piece of women’s clothing in our shop is made from 100% natural fabrics — like linen, silk, wool, or cashmere — and is designed to pair effortlessly with other garments, both in your wardrobe and in our collection. A well-cut pair of trousers should complement a vest, a blouse, or a jacket. A skirt should go just as well with a crisp shirt as it does with a simple tank top.
We also create thoughtful gifts, such as personalized silk shirts embroidered with monograms, and small accessories like linen tote bags — all made with the same care and attention to detail.
What inspires us
We draw inspiration from movies, books, and the streets of cities we wander — in Romania and abroad. But above all, you — our clients — are a constant source of inspiration. Your questions, preferences, and custom requests often lead to new designs that become part of our permanent collection.
We’re also influenced by the craftsmanship of vintage fashion, by thoughtful tailoring, and by the understated elegance of women like Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Who we are
I’m Mihaela — founder, designer, pattern maker, and model for most of our designs. I’ve been making clothes since childhood: sewing by hand, knitting, reworking garments. After a career in advertising, I returned to my lifelong passion and built this studio to create meaningful women’s clothing from natural fabrics.
My sister, a trained photographer, captures the essence of each garment in our product photos. And Genica, our skilled seamstress, coordinates the production process and brings every design to life with care and precision.
Our approach to pricing & discounts
We offer discounts for multiple orders because we believe in helping women build long-lasting wardrobes — not make impulse purchases. You’ll also find a selection of discounted samples, including pieces used for photoshoots, fittings, or exchanges. We prefer to see these garments worn and enjoyed, not stored away.
Our prices reflect the real cost of high-quality fabrics and ethical production. We don’t inflate prices to allow for artificial markdowns. Our goal is to make sustainable fashion honest, transparent, and accessible.
